I have had a revision knee replacement over a year and a half ago.

its been painful ever since I wish I had never had it done.my knee at the bottom is starting to go black. I wondered if this has happened to anyone else. I'm trying to get to see my surgeon but may not get to see him till the new year. I'm asking myself could I be allergic to the metal ?

I asked my Dr. about allergic reaction. He said the newer implants don't have that problem.

You need to get to an emergency room and let them fight the battle to get you in to your surgeon. The immediate reaction.....you have some bleeding that needs immediate attention. Go immediately

Diane, After I had my replacement I broke out with this rash just on my incision. It itched like crazy and my dr didn't know what was going on? 7 months after my surgery I'm still having a lot of pain, swelling, stiffness and bruising. All the way down my shin bone is bruised. I don't have any answers either. It's discouraging and I don't know what to do either. I hope you find some answers and keep me updated. It's visibly ugly and I have these knots everywhere on my knee cap. He says that they are the sutures.
