Has anybody had LIS surgery 5+ years ago?

Hello comrades. I've been suffering from anal fissure for almost 4 years now. It appeared after a laser hemorrhoidectomy. During the summer, things get better. But as soon as the autumn starts, it's a living hell. I tried NTG, nifedipie, they work for a while, but the fissure reappears after some time.
I am considering lateral internal sphincterotomy. I am a 37-year-old female. Never gave birth (if I ever will, it will be through a c-section). We are working on IVF too, but I am afraid to even go through pregnancy while at the same time suffering from the fissure pain. I am, of course, afraid of the potential incontinence issues. I've heard it's possible that incontinence appears within 10 years from surgery, because with age the sphincter weakens naturally like any other muscle. So, there is a higher risk of that for people with a history of anal surgery. I still haven't talked to the surgeon, just googled a lot, which is bad, because you get scared sometimes for nothing.
Has anybody had LIS 5 years ago or more? Have you experienced incontinence? Do you feel your sphincter is weaker than before?
Thanks in advance for all replies.
