Has anybody had Partial Gastrectomy surgery in the last ten years and what was the out come?

 I may be having Partial Gastrectomy surgery in the next couple of months and I am concerned about the after effects. I have a choice between this and a Vagotomy for my condition which is a chronic stomach Ulcer, Gastritis and Duodenitis which  cannot be treated with PPIs or H. Blockers. I have carried out a wide range of research on both operations and I am familiar with the operation, aftercare and diet, but, they state that once you have these surgeries you are prone to the resectioning becoming cancerous and needing further operation. In addition, there is a 2 3-% chance of the stomach diseases recurring. Any Information would be appreciated.
