    Hi Karen,

I had breast cancer 8 years ago and blame taking HRT's on my breast cancer.  I took HRT's due to smpytoms of hot flashes, night sweats etc.  Once I was diagnosed I quit taking HRT's.  I've had hot flashes and night sweats for 25 years now and would never again take HRT's.

Thankyou Barrie, please can I ask what HRT you were taking?...was it a combined or just progesterone or just oestrogen?. I hope you are keeping well now..wishing you all the best Karen.

Hi Karen. I had bilateral breast cancer 41/2 years ago. I recently saw my oncologist to ask for HRT. I had a discussion re the risks etc and have now been on a low dose (femoston conti 0.5/2.5mg) for 2 weeks. It's to easy for HRT to be attributed as the cause when a woman develops breast cancer. Many more women develop it whilst never having had HRT and the same doctors don't then turn around and say, well it's because you never had HRT.

Hi, thankyou so much!...its great to hear of lady who is taking HRT....I had been to a gynae consultant who dismissed it because of my cancer. My gp is incredibly supportive and is researching a professional. Who could help. I shall pass on your prescription....I'm feeling very positive. I hope it suits you and is helping with your menopause. Regards Karen.
