Has anyone cancer/heart attack/stroke due to bioidentical hormones?

I’ve been on BHRT for a long time, around 20 years. My doctor balances my hormones, not just relying on estrogen, which I think is important. All the studies are on Premarin and I would like to do an informal survey to see how much of a risk I’m taking with bio-identicals. Thank you!

Why would you rely on answers from people who aren't qualified to do so? Ask your medical professional who knows more than any lay person.

I value real life experiences especially because there are no studies that I can find.

Don't know anything about bioidenticals but I think you may be lucky if you made it twenty years without any major side effects or health scares.

Well they are supposed to be the safest way right ? And if it’s given you a life back then who cares ? I was literally on the floor picking up my HRT prescription as could not stand up ! I tried BHRT for 2 weeks and did nothing for me . I was so desperate I went on HRT and within days my dizziness subsided and the fatigue was better too. Once I feel better I’ll try to go back on the BHRT but for now I’m sticking with HRT . I had no choice I was a mess!

    Hi Mary m

i have also been on hrt 20 years after try to reduce I triggered a hormone imbalance I am progesterone intolenrant now 56 I take a 75 oestrogen patch testogel daily and every 3 months a natural progesterone gel to protect my uterus but scan biopsy all show womb lining 4.7 so that brill and all healthy a small di road but weall get those after fifty , I went to a private consultant as my GP refereed me and we trial error allot different,t combinations ,to finally get my balance right after I had  spotting for over a year and low mood . If you get a clot it’s always in the first year of taking the hrt so I am told and if you keep fairly fit eat well no alcohol your risks are lower ,we all are individuals and every one reacts to hrt different, I have been on 7 types and this has finally agreed with me I feel amazing , well amazing as can at 56 . Good luck xx
