has anyone conceived 1 or 2 months after myomectomy? How was the experience?

Hi ladies please help me out.
This is my 9th week post op, my gynecologist gave me the go ahead to try conceiving but the problem is every now and then I would feel a slight pain in the operated area, so the over worrying person in me feels like I should wait a little longer but on the other hand I do want to start trying.
Could the pain be inflicted by the cold weather(as some would say that cold weather does affect an operation, not sure how true this is) or could it be that I have not healed fully? But I doubt if the Dr would say I am ready if maybe the wound in the inside hasn't fully healed. I worry because I don't want anything to go wrong should I conceive immediately.
Has anyone conceived 1 or 2 months after myomectomy? and how did it affect your pregnancy?

Hi SINDI, I had open myomectomy on 15th january and was told to wait a year to heal... I still have a pain every now and then. I was lucky as my surgeon didnt need to cut inside my womb. It depends what surgery you had? But if you had open myomectomy, I would recommend to wait a bit longer... Saying that, the healing process would be faster for key hole surgery. Wishing you all the best 😃

Thank you Marie☺ it's just that i don't want to give the fibroids a chance to grow again. I'll give myself a month or 2 then try.

hi Sindi,
I am 30+ weeks following a myomectomy to remove a subserosal stump tumour weighing 1.5kg 18x14cm. Had the op on 4/9/18 and conceived 8-9 weeks later. I found that it helped distract from the post op niggles. I was still feeling quite tender and swollen at the time i conceived but apart from the usual stretching discomfort that many have in pregnancy, so far things have been okay. I am under consultant care and they're happy for me to have a vaginal delivery. My main concern was waiting and allowing the tumour to grow back, if i was you i would just go for it. By the time your belly expands you will be feeling more recovered.

HI jenn☺ congrats on your pregnancy. My fear also is letting the fibroids grow back.
It's good to hear that you and the baby are doing well...
My gyne said I can't have vaginal birth he doesn't want to "risk things" and I am so scared of having an op again as I took very long to heal, had very painful bladder infection as well so just the thought of an operation again scares me. But we'll see as the time goes by.
