Yes, for 5 weeks before my surgery I lived on a miserable diet of rice, broth, pasta, toast, boiled carrots, grilled lean meat, rice milk etc and didn't have any attacks.

I ate a low fat diet trying to keep each meal under 3 gms of fat and avoiding all caffeine, fizzy drinks, dairy, eggs, fresh fruit, citrus, salads. I couldn't even eat a big quantity of healthy fat. Everything was a trigger for an attack.

I ate smaller quantities - eating every 3 hours - 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4 and 7pm. Portions were small like half a cup of rice and 50grams lean grilled meat.  For treats - low sugar fruit salad and jello.

Now it's out I can eat what I want.
