Ethically, only your doctor can manage your pain issues.  Wish I could help.  I too despise the pain meds.  If norco helps, take it as recommended and call your doc.  It could be normal

Sounds like my surgeon, not putting pen to paper to admit failings.

I would go back to the hospital and request pain relief assessment and perhaps a second opinion.

    Best wishes

    Christine,

?I'm so sorry you are going through all of this.  What type of HR surgery did you have and when? If Norco helps, I would take that... check with Dr about other over the counter meds, as some interfere with bone growth. Wishing you quick relief from all you are going through.  xo

    Hello Christine8

I have had both hips replaced and have rods in both legs almost down to my knees. I also have metal plates inserted where bone was either spurred or no bone left at back of hip.  With such major surgery there will be pain and for me it meant taking pain tablets as required and gradually the pain eased over months.  If your pain is acute and pain relief tablets aren't working you need to have it assessed.  I also had physio after both surgeries which helped heaps.  All the best and hopefully you are not long away from pain relief as things heal.
