Has anyone ever been told at a younger age that they had slight thinning of their retina/macular?

Hi,
I am currently 36 years old and when I was 23 years old, I hit my head somewhere and maybe 6 months to a year after that, I noticed my first floater in my right eye. At my next eye test, the optician referred me to the hospital because she spotted something in my eye. It turned out to be an epiretinal membrane, but it has never caused any problems for me to this day and I read that most of them don't cause any issues for people. I assume this was caused by hitting my head.
What I am more worried about though is that the specialist had written in the report that I also had "slight thinning" of the macular part of the retina. I asked someone else and they told me that it was probably because of the epretinal membrane, but what I want to know is whether having that puts me at a higher risk of having a macular hole or retinal tear when I get older.
Have you ever been told that that you had "slight" thinning of your macular or retina in your 20's and did it ever put you at higher risk? My diet is generally good and I've never smoked. I have no myopia or anything else that can put me at higher risk.
Now, 13 years later, I experienced a Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD) in the same eye 6 months ago. I think it is a complete PVD with a Weiss ring. I went to A&E at Moorfield Hospital and they told me that there was no retinal tear or detachment. Its too young for me to have this, so I can assume it is because the hit to my head that accelerated the degeneration of the vitreous gel.
Thanks for your help,
