Has anyone ever had an enterocele repair?

Hi guys looking for some advice please as feeling pretty desperate. I was diagnosed with an enterocele prolapse last year after having a D&C procedure. I knew i had some kind of prolapse prior to the d&c as it was initially picked up a few years ago during a routine smear test. I knew something was wrong but didn't know what. Initially I was given n a ring pessary and sent on my way. As time went on my symptoms got worse. Having lots of problems having a bowel movement and having to help myself go either by inserting a finger into my vagina and pressing or holding the prolapse in place whilst waiting for the BM to pass or I would have to press on my perineum to encourage the BM to come out. Anyway its all got worse i have a lost of symptoms that are really getting me down, here are some of them, painful intercourse, blood after intercourse, , watery discharge from vagina all the time. Pelvic pain/ pressure, low back ache that gets worst upon standing, frequent uti's , constipation, urgency to get to the bathroom to pass urine or BM, feeling like im sitting on a ball sometimes as the pressure in my bottom is so bad, feeling like i haven't properly finished a BM ( like theres more to come but it wont come out) These are just some of the symptoms at the top of my head. Im 48 years old and very overweight. ive lost 3 stone in the last year as i know loosing weight will help my problems. I feel like life is passing me by and i feel older than my years. Last year i was referred to the collorectal team but due to covid 19 i haven't heard anything from them. Has anyone had a repair for this type of prolapse and if you did, did it help your symptoms? I feel so depressed because of this and im so fed up of living like this as i really feel its effecting my quality of life now. Thanks

I'm new here to this forum. But that sounds a lot like me. My rectal prolapse was diagnosed last year, was supposed to see someone, then the holidays and covid delayed everything. I would suggest you talk again to your doctor. Or if you have already been referred to a surgeon, call them back.
