Has anyone experienced a "Blip" Felt like I was cured after 5-6 weeks then anxiety returned

Seretaline

I went from .25-100mg over a 8 week period. I noticed I would have good days then some bad days. On 100mg I was doing well for 2 weeks then out of the blue- my anxiety returned.

The Dr informed me that this was just a setback and to increase to 150mg. After stalking these posts for hours and hours I decided I would be brave and seek some additional support- as this is really such an isolating experience.

I had depression in the past and I took Seretaline 150mg and was able to come off with no real issues. This was about 5-6 years ago.

This time around it is for really horrid anxiety.

I am feeling really fed up and highly anxious. I am trying to continue with work and my role as a husband and father of 2- but its getting tougher and tougher to keep my brave face on.

I can relate to you here. Everyone is different when it comes to medication but always take doctors/shrinks advice but do try to describe your symptoms as best as possible as uncomfortable it may be. I am currently on 100mg sert +15mg of mirtazapine which I take at night. I was diagnosed with ocd/pure O and was on 200mg of sert for 6 years. Tapered off to lower dose and all my old symptoms came back worse than before. If you are struggling at night you could always ask for something for sleep but sometimes GP's may b reluctant to prescribe benzos or sleep aids so you would really have to emphasise. I wake up with crippling anxiety every morning and have to drag myself out of bed to work. Good luck sir and God bless.
