Has anyone experienced intense / constant itching with Mono?

I have had Mono for about 4 months now, I've had a low grade fever ever since, that being my most present symptom, everything else isn't all that bad besides a bit of a headache. I have had many blood tests to confirm I have mono / EBV. Anyway, starting about 3 weeks ago, I've been getting itchy all over my body, all the time. I am sure it's not from any environmental / diet changes as there hasn't been any. Is this normal with Mono? I have no rash, just itching... pretty much everywhere, pretty constantly.

Hi Clayton,
This itching must be so frustrating, just hoping this settles down soon - I absolutely want to reassure that I do think this kind of thing can be very normal with mono. The nervous system can be shaken a little by this virus for sure and things like itching can be common, especially together with the awful low grade fever because it feels like that kind of rushing flow in your system which it seems logically can bring on things like itching on the surface. Of course always wise to check in the with doc though see what they say, but it sounds like something that is very feasible with mono and definitely will get better as you start to feel better over time.
Just hang in there Clayton, this stage at 4 months can be so tough I know I remember how low and unwell I felt then, so just coping with each day and getting plenty of rest and allowing your body that time and space right now is so important, taking good vitamins and herbs too can be very helpful. And remember you WILL get better from this, the low grade fever and itching and all the symptoms will go, it's just so frustrating it takes a little time to get over it all but absolutely this is normal and you really will make a FULL recovery with some time, I truly believe that given my own experience and reading how it has went for others. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers Clayton.

Good advice Lori, hoping you are feeling okay today and continuing to think about you each day and still believing you God is going to get you through this and you will be well again thanks to Him.

Thanks Lori, I've had a few more settled days too which is always a relief, but just hoping and praying God can restore us and build us up again, helping our confidence and our mood and our hope. Everything that's been going on this last while has kind of drained a lot of my confidence and enthusiasm for life and I'm just grateful God doesn't give up on us and that He is the one who is breathing new life and hope into us - I do hope and pray so much for that in our lives and circumstances Lori!!
Hoping you are not feeling too tired or unsettled after last night. Praying God can turn the bad days into okay ones and the okay ones into good and joyful ones!

Joy and peace will return in your life again Lori, I know it's hard to see that right now when going through it and struggle myself often in the midst of battle, but God is there for us and His will is for you to be well again and happy again, and you will get there Lori - no matter how tough things seem today remember that is the truth! Thinking about you and hoping today can be much more settled for you. Yes you're right I think it's very hard for people who haven't been through it to know what it's like physically and mentally to cope with the awful symptoms, feelings and longevity of this virus - but it will be beaten Lori rest assured.

Hey Lori, hoping that your day wasn't too long or bad yesterday due to waking up so early, that must be so hard. If you're looking for herbs or supplements to relax your system and body before bed, help make you tired, things like cayenne pepper, feverfew and passion flower I've found helpful, or a bath with epsom salts in it too.
Just hoping that you are feeling settled today Lori and remember you will get better, absolutely you will be free from this thing once and for all, just cope with the present for now and know that God is looking after the bigger picture and has good plans ahead for you.

Very much hoping it will be all over soon too Lori. I know what it's like with forwards then backwards steps, been a bit like that too with things recently - eventually we will get there I believe that we need to keep trusting in God.
