Has anyone had a dexa scan to check for osteomalacia?

I have severe vitamin d deficiency (result was 14) I have been prescribed cholecalciferol 20,000 a day for seven days then once a week for five weeks.

I have been having bone pain, muscle weakness and severe tiredness which has been getting worse.

    no they dont do that on NHS they just tell you to take vitamin D and sit under the sun, apart from that they just dont care.

    Hi, yes I have been referred for s dexa scan by the endocrine consultant. This is on the NHS

    I am in Nottinghamshire and was referred by my GP as this is the protocol they have to follow.
