Has anyone had a sesamoidectomy? Removal of the sesamoid bone on the ball of your foot.

I am scheduled to have a sesamoidectomy soon due to an unhealed fracture that resulted in the sesamoid bone shattering and dying.

I was told no weight bearing for 4 weeks, no exception. I am 7 weeks out recovering from extensive shoulder surgery so am unable to use crutches. I do have a knee scooter.

I am looking to hear others experience with mobility, pain ect.
