Has anyone had a similar experience of cystitis/IC?

Hi all 😃 I've been having issues with my bladder for a while now and just want some support / advice off people going through a similar thing! I've always been prone to cystitis, but over the past year its got a lot worse - i have been getting it almost monthly and it is the most painful thing, I end up sitting on the toilet for at least 6 hours because the pressure on my bladder is too painful not too. Its really affecting my life. Recently i went to the doctors and the urine culture found e-coli so i was given antibiotics and was okay. However the last two times the doctors has said they cannot see any signs of infection, and mentioned IC. I am just unsure if it could be IC because i dont have any general symptoms (frequency, burning, pressure) other than in these episodes where it feels exactly the same as confirmed cystitis, and then it goes after a few days. Does anyone have IC where this is the case? The only other issue i have is that if my bladder is empty and im dehydrated it hurts a bit so i have to drink a lot of water, but thats it. im just trying to figure out whats going on as its getting me down how often i am in pain 😦 thank you!!
