Has anyone had a vaginal myomectomy instead of adominal?

I will be talking to a specialist soon because I want to keep my fertility. The surgeon said he won't do abdominal on me due to my weight but vaginal. Has anyone had this and what was your recovery like?

Yes I had a vaginal myomectomy on January 18,2018. I went to the OR to have it done at the hospital under general anesthesia. For me I had 2 fibroids and some polyps. They removed them .I had just light to moderate spotting for about 2 weeks and now nothing. I haven't had my first period yet afterwards should be soon.. but I was back to normal activities( driving, work, and gym) 2 weeks afterwards. If my next period is normal this surgery is recommended by me. You said it was recommended for your weight or you over or underweight?

Sounds good. I am overweight. The Dr said he didn't want me to have complications with my incisions if done abdominally.

It's sad to say I don't know the exact size, I wasn't thinking to ask either but he said the 2 fibroids were pretty big whatever that may mean lol. I looked at him like so why did you pull them out down there? But I feel a lot better already.
