Has Anyone Had Accessory Navicular Bone Removal?

Posted , 1 user is following.

The foot and ankle specialist at my local hospital is contemplating removing the accessory navicular bones in both my feet to see if that'll help reduce the pain levels in my collapsing ankles and feet. I won't be sad to see the bones go, because most shoes just aren't wearable if you have accessory naviculars.

But frankly I wouldn't imagine it'd make much difference to the overall pain I endure in my ankles and feet - and I suspect that the recovery time would be longer rather than shorter. Has anyone here had their accessory navicular bones taken out? And if so, how was it for you?
