Hi Guys,

Posted on here ages back now...

I have been struggling with costo/ tietze's for around six years now and I am Truly at the end of my tether.

I just wanted to know if anyone has any updates in regards to medication/ doctors advice?

I have had no relief at all. In agony most days and am fed up with it.

Amitriptiline worked for a week or so now I seem to have a tolerance it's back worse than ever.

I hear people saying they have got relief from using a back pod. There is also a support group on Facebook I have found to be a godsend.

    'Costochondritis support group'

Hope you find something that works

    Hi Marie,

Have you tried physio and cortisone injections in your chest? Not sure of the correct terminology but I had cortisone and pain mixture injections in my chest and that did help relieve the pain quite a bit.

Also, do you have a history of hormone problems or ovarian cysts?

      Hi Kelly,

No, I have mentioned this to the doctors taken pictures etc of the swelling and how deformed my rib cage looks !

I've just been referred to physio so going to give it a shot but i'm at the point now where i'm struggling to do much of anything

      Hormone issues? None really...
