Has anyone had any success with Chinese medicine for LS before?

Hi There,
I was diagnosed with L.S about a year ago after a saw a small white patch on my vulva appear. I stopped using the steroid cream about the week I got it from a dermatologist about half a year after I was diagnosed with LS as my gynaecologist didn't think it was necessary to even give me a cream!!! The cream just seemed to make things worse.
I tried using many different natural ways such as olive oil etc which has helped with making the area more moist but it hasn't really cleared away any of the small white dots which have been there since I got my patch removed.
I used for a while Perrins naturals which has been working amazing for the area but I do want to get rid of LS for the long run as I know it must be an internal/stress emotional problem rather than treating just the skin only. (The past year has really been emotionally tough because of the pandemic and losing so many people last year because of everything).
So this led me to go about a month ago to a traditional Chinese doctor. So far, I've been on a herbal treatment for the last 20 days and I must say that emotionally I have started to feel a lot better as has my digestion which had began to suffer since I was diagnosed. I've read on other TCM pages that LS typically takes a couple of months to cure because it is a "stubborn" disease. I would just like to know if any of you have had a similar experience in treating LS with Traditional Chinese medicine? What kind of treatment did you get from your doctor (Internal and external treatment)? How long did it take you to heal? My doctor didn't really know what LS was and just tackled the problem from the tongue, pulse, symptoms perspective in focusing on treating the stomach and liver etc.
My doctor said to me that it would be over within two 10 day treatments because I'm still young (21) but it hasn't really gone down at all. Should I have more patience with it because I do really believe in fixing the the internal cause of such problems rather than just treating the symptoms.
Are there any lifestyle treatments that have worked for you? I've been vegetarian/vegan since I was 15 and up to 2 years ago I've felt much better before the stress of exams and last year started to kick in. My doctor said that I should try pork broth but I really don't want to go back to eating meat. Has something like the low oxalate diet worked for you? Going meat-free or with meat?
Really appreciate your comments as I feel so lost and scared because of this. I have no idea how this came about and feel completely deflated.

Hi IZ,
I'm newly diagnosed to LS myself, I understand your deflated feeling! I feel so alone at times! I have seen my Dermatologist and a Urologist for treatments, both gave me Clobetasol .5 Steroid Cream to use, the first time it flared up, the cream helped, this time, it didn't. I'm currently using coconut oil, Aloe Vera Gel and Olive Oil, it seems to help. I use it every time I go to the bathroom, I like the coconut oil best! I've been doing some research on the causes of LS, I like to treat the cause too, not just the symptoms. It seems like stress is a factor with most of us with LS, I haven't tried Chinese Medical Treatments, but have altered my diet to a clean diet. I do like to eat fish or chicken once in awhile, lots of veggies, apples and salads. I'm not perfect, so I get tempted to eat something like chips or a Vegan Cookie once in awhile! I also try and exercise 5 times a week, hopefully all this helps! I will let you know if I come across any new things I'm trying, hang in there! Keep me posted!

Hi Iz,
the clob at first helped. It did get rid of the white patches but, like you and Patti said, let's address the problem at the root. I, too, use olive oil, coconut oil and have not used Chinese meds. I do know someone who had but she didn't seem to get much relief from them. My digestion has not suffered but, yes to loads of stress, from every corner of life...I continue to search for an answer in my spare time. I read the med journals and do get a little insight on what has happened but no answers on how to fix. Rest assured if I do, I will post it everywhere I can. Do not give up. I'm not
