Has anyone had bile reflux after gallbladder removal?

Am having to wait and wait for testing. I have burning pain in my abdomen, back, chest and throat that worsens as the day goes on. Acid reflux medications don't work at all. I've tried PPIs, H2 blockers, chewables, gaviscon, nothing helps. Now my teeth and gums are starting to hurt. I Ph tested my saliva and it's alkaline, not acidic. Am suspecting bile reflux but don't know what could possibly help symptoms while I'm waiting for the damn tests. Anyone else experience this? Was there anything that helped? I tried psylium but that didn't seem to help either. Am in so much pain any suggestions are welcome.

Goodness, I am so sorry to hear you are suffering like that. For years, even! Have you had any tests done to see if there is damage to your esophagus? I can't imagine that with all of my symptoms there wouldn't be damage after a while. I am supposed to get a PH study but it's been over a week and they still haven't contacted me to schedule it. Sigh. On top of that I am constipated since the surgery and nothing seems to help. So frustrating. I wish I'd never had the surgery either. In fact. I probably didn't need it. The ultrasound showed stones but when they took it out it had no stones! Do you believe that?? Ugh.

hi I get it if I go too long without eating, do heavy bending up and down in the garden or eat something that upsets stomach. generally I'm ok a few digestive issues now and then. I'm 5 years post op and I think this is how it will be, it is manageable and no dreadful times like before it was removed. my solution (which sounds a bit contradictory ) is lemon juice and water if I know I'm going to eat something fatty. or if I have already. I don't do that if I have it in the night I use baby colic drops! I think we try everything and what works for one doesn't work for another. good luck and I hope you improve as time goes on.

I have multiple GI problems, diseases, & had gall bladder surgery removal 3 years ago. I'd been taking PPI's for most of my life until I found out that they do cause alzhiemers, no matter what American Dr.'s say. You can research this as well, look to Europe , like Sweden for answers; however as they are 15 years ahead of America in medicine & science. I sleep at an incline always, at rest & for sleep, I refuse to take PPI's & I take digestive helper & other helpful suppliments from a company called Wellness Resources, they do help, and they're one company that creates truly organic suppliments that actually absorb into the body. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

I had severe bile reflux for over a year and I tried basically everything but nothing helped. Then I found a cure: yarrow tea! It basically stopped bile from refluxing into my stomach. I have no idea how it works but I don't even care. Now I can eat almost anything. Please give it a try and see if it works! Dont drink it hot or too cold.
