    Hi Jesus,

Just wanted to show my support for you and tell you to hang in there. It may be a few more weeks until you feel the full benefit of this medication and 25mg is a very low dose. Are you taking it for anxiety or depression (or both)? Sertraline does affect your appetite and sleep pattern, but these symptoms are also compounded by the depression, which saps our energy and takes away all our motivation. Is there anything in your life you can get enjoyment from? Exercise and keeping contact with friends & family are good.

You will get there, buddy - you just need to take one day at a time and focus on the positive, however hard that may seem. This keeps our hope for the future alive. I wish you all the best. Keep in touch - you are not alone!

      Hey Jesus,

Please know that you are not alone. I too am feeling depressed. I have been taking sert for three weeks ( one on 25mg and just over 2 on 50mg)

My anxiety seems to be getting better slowly but I am still experiencing depression symptoms. Tonight I cried for two hours not really knowing why.

I too will stick with this med and hope and pray that it does something soon...

Please just know you're not alone.. don't get stuck in your thoughts too much...try and stay busy. Even if its just watching TV. Set goals and reward yourself.. for example.. if I eat a piece of toast and have a quick shower then I can go back to bed...or if I walk to the letterbox and back then I can know I achieved something today. Little steps...one day at a time. It can be the silliest thing but just make it something. Xxx

Great advice, Laura & Michael - doing something, however small, is better than doing nothing at all. Small achievable goals give us a confidence boost (but never beat yourself up if you don't quite get there...there's always tomorrow!)

Keep in touch all cos it's far easier getting through each day knowing we have the support of one another :-)

Never give up hope. All the best, Digsby

Hi jusus. Im in the same boat as yourself but I have only been on Sertraline 50mg for 5 days for anxiety+drepression and I have the same symtoms as yourself, low apettite, hard to get out of bed and on a down for no reason sometimes. For me yesterday I went to the beach for a walk in the wind and rain and I have to say I was feeling very good after this for the whole night, so exercise does help. so like the rest of us hang in there and if you need to chat you know that we are here.

OK well today is nearly over for me. Day started at 6am in panic mode. Horrible panic attack... ugh you never get used to that feeling!

Got kids ready for school and kindergarten. Went on tractor with hubby and fed cows.

Been up and down all day... sigh! Managed to vacuum house do laundryand make dinner. Even managed a play fight with kids. Just got inside from riding my daughters bike round and round the house...so ddesperate I'll try anything... any excerise has to be good right!?

I pay a psychologist $150 an hour who tells me to do breathing exercises and excerise....sigh.... its been two months! Easy to say hard to friggin do!

So how you going today guys?
