Hi Toria I had mines 3 weeks ago. I had it at 11am then at 6pm I started to feel achy and shivery and temp. The first 24 hours I was in bed then the next 24 hrs is recovery. Its normal and common. My advice is take a paracetamol 1 hr before the jab then straight after. I'm doing this for my 2nd jab. I was on paracetamols every 4- 6 hrs for the first 24 hrs. Then I only took one dose the next 24 hrs. You will like your Perimenopause is in over drive.

I felt better today....keeping positive.
I was telling my best friend how speaking to you lovely ladies is helping me cope.
I'm preparing myself for whatever outcome.
I had my ovaries checked a year ago and a CA125 test in October all was clear.
So hoping its endometriosis as ive suffered from heavy periods all my life. But since peri now 3 years they are so heavy hence me having an scan last year!
I just don't know what to think anymore. feel so drained by everything.
My stomach problems started 2 years ago acid reflux, bloating, trapped wind and major heart burn!
Now this:( Its non stop all these changes aches, pains lumps arguing
Thank you for all your support and kind messages its keeping me positive X

Hi, I had mine 31st March, about 30 mins after had slight hangover feeling which remained throughput the day (was still ok though doing my normal stuff). By evening around 8pm I felt extremely tired and a slight sore arm but that was it for me was fine next day apart from a slight headache but im quite a headachy person anyway specially through peri. Im due my second on 16th June but had a text saying government are advising over 50s to have second 8 weeks after first so it may be sooner. Im in the UK and had the Pfizer.

Hi Toria,
I don't know if you had your shot yet? I just thought I'd let you know I had completed mine and had the second shot a few days ago. The first shot was a breeze really, just a tiny bit of sore arm that went off within a day. The second was rather more uncomfortable -- chills, aches, headache. BUT those only lasted about half a day, a day at most (though admittedly I was not a happy camper going through it). By nightfall I was fine and back to normal (well, peri normal haha). Hope that helps ❤️
Btw, you aren't advised to take painkillers or NSAIDS prior to the shots to try to blunt any side effects -- doing so can blunt the efficacy of the vaccine.

Yes, I have had mine. I had the Pfizer vaccine. I am in the US. I am fully vaccinated.
I was due to have my period on the day of my vaccine. My period started ten hours after the vaccine. I was due & expecting it so this was not a side effect. I decided to go hard core and not take anything for the first few days of vaccine so I could have good efficacy. HUGE MISTAKE. I became anemic and it caused all sorts of problems. My anemia was so bad it triggered the worst anxiety episode of my life! I was weak, terrible joint pain & even had a shortness of breath. Oh, I got the leg cramp right when the J&J news broke out. There was a nightmare anxiety cycle. Finally after day four I broke down and took my generic "Tylenol" & iron. I had a super long period. I don't think that was a side effect either. I think that was just normal peri, lol. Last period was late so we know how that goes for a prolonged cycle. Note, my leg cramp was due to anemia and not the vaccine. I have always been anemic since I was a child.
Second jab I had the normal side effects of sore arm, fever, chills & just feeling like I was coming down with the flu. I got this twelve hours after vaccine. I took generic Tylenol about fifteen hours after my vaccine. I learned my lesson from first dose. I went to bed & felt better after I woke up. I also had a stiff neck that lasted four days. I found out that is a lymph node side effect and perfectly normal to have & a good response to the vaccine. That is the only lymph node swelling I had.
All in all everything was normal for what the vaccine side effects were. The only not normal was me being a dork and not doing what I am supposed to do when I am on my period.
