Has anyone had their foot done more than once ?

hi I just wondered if anyone has had the the same foot done more than once. I just wondered if the same operation was done or if a different operation was done this time?

    I had my left foot done 18 years ago but all the doctor did was shaved off the bump so now the bunion head reoccurred I just had my left foot done again on Friday this time the doctor removed the bunion realign the bones and put in a screw to keep my big toe aligned because I had a hammer toe so yes two different surgeries I can also tell you that I had my right foot done 2 weeks ago same surgery if my left foot I was off pain meds within 48 hours because of the scar tissue on my left foot the pain is terrible swelling is worseI have been sick the last two days running fevers and vomiting

      Hi Rebecca, woah, poor you, sounds like you're having a bad time of it. I'm having very different experience with the two operations on my feet too! Hope you're feeling better today, but maybe get that fever and vomiting checked out with your doctor, better to be safe. Wishing you a good recovery.

    are you having one of your feetare you and if so what kind of surgery did you have last time and is your doctor redoing the same surgery I would think that they would want to try something else there are so many different types of bunions surgeries and every patient is different everyone is differentdo your homework maybe even get a second opinion Miley invasive bunion surgery the recovery time is faster reoccurrence a bunion is more likely since they don't correct the issue causing the poignant in the first place

      I had a Scarf Osteotomy 4 months ago, but because of one of my toes going floppy, my consultant has decided  to fuse my second toe, but just to complicate matters further he also discovered while looking at an x Ray I had done of my foot, week two after a fall I had, had. I had in fact broken my big toe during that fall. Not that I had only done minimum damage as first though when I went to get it checked after the fall... And that I may need further surgery to the big toe as well... Phew! That was a mouthful to get out lol.. My Bungion is back worse than it was before the operation.. So it looks like it will need doing again.. Some how ! It was on my left foot..

    I have had my right foot done twice and had a scarf/akin both times.

      Thanks Sue, I'm guessing that perhaps this " Might " be an option for me.. My foot at the moment is wider than before I had the bungion done..
