Has anyone had this?

This has been going on for 2 yrs now. Iv'e had pain right in the middle of my chest between the breast. Sometimes it will spread out to the inner side of the breast. There have been times it felt like air was trapped in my lungs.  It can last several hours or just 30 mins. I have had a cath, upper gi, altra of the abdomain and edg test. All that has been found is a small hernie. Any suggestions as to what this could be? It feels like its tightening or a spasm, little burning

I have been given heart burn meds..not working

There is a thread called long term unexplained chest pain.  What you describe sounds very similar what we are discussing.  I just found that today after doing a google search and joined this forum.

    Hi Karen

Explain to GP firmly that this cannot go on just taking meds, and that you are going to A & E . He should do something as this costs the practice about £ 96-00 everytime you go to A & E. Is the pain in your chest similair to someone putting a ( needle ) VERY gently into your chest ?. Also do you get similair pain as I have said in the back between shoulder blades  ?, finally do you get pains in your jaw as if they where cramping ?. Look forward to your reply.

      Hi David

It's does t feel like a needle but like a sore. It is smack dab in the middle of the chest.

I also have started to get pain in my hips and mid back on tbe side's Fibermilagia? Arthritis? I don't think either of those affect the chest muscles. How about spasm in the chest muscles I'm really just grasping at straws now I'm frustrated
