Has anyone lost heaps of weight due to anxiety?

I've been chubby pretty much my whole life. Every time i get anxiety I lose weight (which is the only positive). My recent anxiety, however, is taking some time to settle. I've gone back on Zoloft (3 weeks now) and started seen a psychologist too. I know with time it will get better, like it has before. I also know that the physical symptoms (hyperventilation, burning/tingling, palpitations etc) are not life threatening, and just that, symptoms from anxiety. But I've lost 20kg this year (almost 10 in the last month!). The nausea/queasy feeling is non-stop and it's starting to worry me that I can't stop losing weight or enjoy food like I used to, and boy did i love food!

    It has made me lose weight. I would get down and not want to eat.. Like the past week and a couple days I haven't wanted to eat at all really from nonstop anxiety. Lost almost 7 pounds.

    Anxiety has always made me lose weight because I can only eat just a little bit, sometimes nothing...I also have a hiatal hernia, probably caused from anxiety...that will make you lose weight, too...you somehow always feel like you are full, even if your stomach is telling you that you are hungry...Good luck!!

    yea I lost my wieght before.and even now I couldnt back to my earlier weight.

    I've lost 12lbs in weight but I'm eating fairly well, I've lost mostly due to not drinking alcohol over past 3 months.

    Best to eat little and often when no appitite, basically snack and nibble, just a handful of nuts or a banana, half a sandwich or just the filling, chocolate biscuit, toast with tons if jam on it, drink plenty fluids but try avoid caffiene.

    Well i lost weight too , i'm so worried about that i think i'am dying im not that fat but i loss so much weight. i overthink too much about dying i think thats what the main reason that i cant eat well + this acid reflux thingy , but now im ok with that just this derealization thingy. Well you can eat bit by bit like every 3 or 2 hours thats what im doing when i want to eat allot but i cant beacause of nausea i feel im gonna vommit i stop then wait/rest for 3 or 2 hours then i will eat again the doctor said that way i will regain my body, i hope i help you with that tip youre good and well just dont overthink smile

    Yes. When my anxiety started I was 148 pounds, now I am 94. I am 5'11 which is pretty un healthy but I have fears of being poisoned and I eat very little now.             ( I am only 14 )
