Has anyone tried AVODART?

Avodart sounds like it might be a good med for shrinking prostate. anyone tried it?

    Its more expensive than Finasteride so alot of doctors reach fo the Finasteride first.

    I had to stop taking it after 3 days. Intense testicular pain and all I could do was lie in bed and try to find a position that didn't hurt.

    I've been taking it for a few years. The doc said it should shrink my prostate by 20-25%, but I've only achieved about an 8% reduction. I keep taking it, but wonder how much it's actually helping now.
