Has anyone tried Calendular cream for LS ?

Hi lovely Ladies , I have tried so many things to no avail .

I seem to have allergies or bad reactions to most things that people have recommended .

I am back to basics with Betnovate for itch and petroleum jelly , with bicarb and Lavender douce and bathing occasinally .

Derma 500 lotion still for washing.

Tea tree burns , olive oil does nothing and is too oily as is cocunut oil .

Made my own beeswax johoba but also does not suit me.

Emuidmax is so hard to get here in Spain and also stings , tried it to see if i could get relief from white patches and blistering .  No luck with that sadly.

Synalar has helped briefly but drying so

Can defeat the object of keeping the moisture balance 🤦🏻???

Whats upsetting me most is i am so sensitive all the time and have to keep well moisturised.

I have nearly eliminated Sugar and gluten from my diet and take all my suppliments .

I have also developed terrible dry itchy patches  on my body which thankfully i have under control with honey pure products i can get from a warehouse supplies here in Spain . That along with bee pollen has been a real breakthrough for me 🤗

Its the blisters i cannot escape from when outside calms they remain sadly 😥

The Emiaid Maxx may be too strong for you as it contains 10x the tea tree oul as rwgukar Emuaid. I only used Maxx for 10 days when first diagnosed, then switched to regular. I also tried Terrasil ( rec. by my mother in law), I didnt like it as much, though at $24 tube it is much cheaper than Emuaid $48/jar. I tried Perrins but it smells horrible! Like a marinated steak with lots of grapeseed oil.   I like v- magic ( honey based for lube during sex and also moisturiser).  I bought pure, coconut oil $3.99 a jar and use that as a moisturizer too, though it melts when you put it on your warm lady parts.

I hope some of these suggestions help you.

I hv not used any steroid creams, and hv had no pain or itch

( unless I eat sugar or wheat) since my first flare cleared up with  Emuaid.

I still have some white areas that I would like to “ pink up” and bought food grade borax to soak a cotton ball and put on for 20 min ( per Nancy KB).  I’ll let you know it it works!

    Hi Susan

I don't know if you can get it in Spain but I am now finding Perrins Blend which is all natural very good.has stopped the itching.

    All best Maggie X

Hi Maggie- After finding relief with Emuaid Maxx and Emuaid regular, I read about Perrins and bought the Creme Complete. I HATED the smell! All that grapeseed oil made me feel like a merlot- soaked , marinated steak! It did help with itching, but I went back to Emuaid regular and all is gone- pain and itch.

Haha! Yes feeling like a marinated steak isn't much fun! I like the smell! And I have found it the most effective thing for the itching so far.

I did try a calendula ointment; then, I had such a glut of flowers, I made my own oil infused with calendula petals.  I can't say I noticed any difference in my symptoms. There are quite a few commercial products available.

I've used the Calendula nappy cream from Weleda, you can get it just about anywhere, and I'm sure Weleda have an internet site if you can't find it in health food shops or pharmacies where you are. I didn't find it particularly good or bad and it was hard to wash out of underwear (I guess that makes it a good barrier though!). The thing I find most helpful is Epaderm - it's a standard eczema treatment. It's not a particularly natural type of thing, but I balance it out with other products. I use it for washing down below instead of soap. I also carry a small tub in my handbag to 'wash' with when I have to use a toilet without a handbasin nearby. It's about £12 over the counter for a 500g tub. I'm sure you could get it on Amazon. It's soothing on the itch too. If you want to try it, make sure you get the ointment, not the cream, it doesn't work as well.

    Good luck
