Has anyone tried herbal sprays or balms for anxiety?

I know, it's a long shot and some are scams/placebo effects. But I'm curious to see if any of you have given it a go?

    lilygee,

Yes. I use essential oils from Doterra. Go to their site and see if anything there looks like it may be of help to you. They have helped calm some of my anxiety.

Hi, rescue remedy is a very popular herbal spray. Lavender oil helps with sleep. I drink camomile tea but don't know if it helps really. Go see a herbalist and see what they recommend BUT be sure to speak to your GP or psychiatrist before taking anything as it may interact with any conventional meds you are taking. Neil

THAnk you Neil! Rescue spray is what caught my attention. Might give it a shot, placebo or not. I've also seen some scented and balms with lavender. I might go with that as well

Camomile tea is very calming. I don't like the taste of it but it does help with sleep problems for many people.

Valerian has also been cited as useful for anxiety. Again, it tastes gross but works for a lot of people.

Rescue Remedy is very popular. Spraying your pillow with lavender spray is good, too.

Yeah rescue remedy is what I've been looking into! Thank you! I also drink chamomile as my go-to "rescue" when I feel sick, or anxious

Magnesium is supposed to be very good and put a lavender sachet under your pillow.  There are some interesting teas as well to try, have a look in Waitrose

Thank you Carole! I'll look into magnesium. And definitely want to try some scents

I had an aromatherapy massage and the therapist told me which oils were most suitable for me.

      The massage itself was sublime.
