Has anyone tried Imipramine?

hi,

I have severe panic disorder/ ocd i havent tolerated ssris well bit given them a good go with no luck. im now on mertazapine and pregabolin but thats not working. my dr has upped my mirtazapine dose but i am not doing well on it at all. he said if that doesnt work we will try imipramine. the things ive ready online seem to be extremely positive for panic disorder but there doesnt appear to be many real reviews from users with my conituon and there isnt a forum on here specifically for this drug. has anyone tried it and what were your experiences?

    are you taking both mirtazapine and pregabalin at the same time ? im on 15mg mirt my psyc wants me to try pregabalin

    what doses are you on

      i dont want to say anything to dishearten you because everything is different for different people. i would say that the side effects were fine for me just some slurred speech and tiredness and you do get a rush of feeling good which is a bit weird but compared to other drugs it was fine and only lasted a week or so and the good effects are almost instant. i went from not leaving the house to going out in to town by the next day! it definitely helped my panic disorder for a while but its very common that you get a tolerance to it and just have to keep increasing. im at the point where im on 450mg and i dont want to go up because with that and the 15mg mirt im already tired all the time and from the way its gone so far i hve a feeling id just reach the maximum dose and eventually become tolerant to that dose.

      sorry should say hes upped my mirt to 30 from 15 (not going well with increased anxiety)

      what time do you take your mirt and pregabalin ?

      i take my mirt around 8pm at night !!

      do you take both at the same time ?

      I take the pregabolin morning and night at about 9am and pm and the mirt just before i go to sleep at about 10pm. the combination definitely helps with sleep (maybe a little too well!).

    I mix imipramine, with duloxetine and sertraline, very good, I feel very well
