Has anyone tried Lamotrigine for help with Anxiety?

My doctor wants me to try Lamotrigine, to help with my anxiety. But it carries a "black box label" from the US FDA, saying it can kill me with rare side affects. So its a bit scary to take this medication. Just wanted to see if anyone has taken it, and if it benefited them. Thank you for your time.

I took it for a while in my early 30s and think it helped, no side effects. I considered taking it again but at my age, being a woman, it messes with your hormones.

ive been taking it for a little over a year now and to be honest its one of the safest benign meds you can take but everyone is different. i had blurry vision the 2nd or 3rd day i took it for around 30 mins then went away. it can cause so insomnia issues at first so its best to take it in the morning bit it goes away. Aside from that I havent had any issues. all meds will have side affects i had a really bad experience with SSRI's.
