Has anyone used music therapy in addition to their science-based medication regimen?

Hello!

I was finally diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis about 5 years ago; I am on a doctor prescribed medication regimen that I follow religiously. I'm wondering if anyone has used music therapy, in combination with their science-based med regimen. I play the piano to strengthen my hand joints and write songs for mental well-being.

I would like to know if anyone with an autoimmune disorder has used music as therapy in addition to their science-based regimen of meds.

If you you do, what kinds of instruments do you play and/or what kind of music helps you with the emotional stress of daily lilfe with an autoimmune disease.

I'd love to know...

Cheers!
