Has anyone with primary RLS tried a medication that works quickly?

I have been on Mirapex for 10 years, but for me it is a preventative medication. If my restless legs begin to act up at unexpected times and then I take it, it can take 1.5 to 2 hours before relief begins. I was thinking about asking my doctor if there's anything I can take on those occasions, like beings in the car on a trip, or visiting friends. I really hate to take my 1 gram of mirapex morning and night every day.

    Hi sue

I take 4mg ropinorol daily and it’s a slow release so reselases in to your body over a 24 hour period I then take ropinorol 2mg quick release (1 hour) just before bed.

Don’t get me wrong if I don’t take it atvyhe right time I will suffer and still sometimes it’s not enough. Worth ago. Lucy
