Has the forum got M.E again ??

I found your article quite helpful.
I just recently had a diagnosis of CFS and did not believe or understand what it was about. It is good to know in your article that may there be some options and support to improve this condition. It is also helpful to know there are books or organisations that may be good for me during this period. I have found that doing a little bit of excercise make me tired but helps me to avoid depression or feeling part of the community.

Thank you again everyone for your good wishes ...... still very tired but never mind ...... I daresay it will pass  But another jar (large size) of Horlicks would be much appreciated Kristal :ok:
It's strange how the snow has bypassed you both Kristal and Daisy .... maybe it's all that hot air coming from your direction  Just imagine being marooned in a freezing car for all those hours though
Julia, do hope you have recovered from your day out ..... it's always a bit daunting isn't it and folk really often just don't seem to understand that it is a worry for us. Having said that I hate it when people keeping asking if I am okay ... so they can't win either way really :?
Have a reasonable weekend everyone :D

I know exactly what you mean because I feel the same if I have been \"away\" for a few days :?
The best thing is to just jump right in and not to worry about playing catch up.
Lets face it, half the time we don't know where we are anyway

It's interesting what your doc :doctor: says about your pain being a common problem after a whiplash injury though Dale ... he seems to know his stuff. Hope the injection eases things a little ..... but as you say, the duration should be shorter than a frozen shoulder ...... that can go on for some time .... sorry Teedie
You'll just have to keep your arms to yourself during the footie match for a change :football: :D
Teedie, hope your shoulder sorts itself out soon ...... can be very painful, especially during the night, so have the painkillers at the ready

You are remarkedly alike in your postings and humour ..... and both live in the same neck of the woods :?
Are you sure you are not actually the same person

I mentioned about the fact i have had joint stiffness and pain for nearly a year and the fact no-one i know who has ME has had joint swelling so i asked if i would benefit from a referral to rheumatology.
She said she would repeat my bloods and if ESR or CRP were raised, she would refer me. She is testing me for Lupus as i have this barely noticeable rash on my cheeks too.
She gave me sleeping tablets (Zopiclone 3.75mg) and wanted to increase my Citalopram but i wasn't keen as they made me woozy at first and i drive in my job.
I have been having bad stomach ache (like i have an ulcer) It is relieved when I eat so have been prescribed (Omeprazole) stomach tabs.
I mentioned my sore shoulder and she examined it and said i have a frozen shoulder, so i have to go for physiotherapy.
She offerred me a sickline but i declined.

Glad you are feeling well-ish
I know what you mean about trying to catch up on the posts - i've just had a quiet couple of days and then i logged in tonight and theres about 10-11 red flags flashing at ME  :?
The trouble is.....................i'm nosy and like to know what everyone's been up to
I've been trying to plan my veggie plot for this year, so i've been having to use what little brain power i do have, on doing that which is why i've been absent - i don't have enough energy for both, unfortunately
Concentrating for any length of time really zaps the life out of ME
Anyway Trees - its really good to hear from ya

I hope you and your daughter both had a wonderful day yesterday :D
This illness and all its many, many symptoms do make you feel like a hypochondriac, doesn't it
But i shouldn't worry about that
Well its good that she is going to re-take the bloods to check you ESR and CRP levels, isn't it
Lupus is also another condition that have many of the same symptoms as ME, Fibromyalgia, MS, RA, PMR, etc, etc...................... :?
And then nearly every doctor, nuerologist, rhuematologist, etc, etc have differing opinions on what they think you actually have
No wonder most of us are confused when the medical profession can't even agree - but then many of the conditions don't have any specific tests to confirm or discount diagnosis
 Sorry Teedie - i don't really know where all that came from
I hope you start to feel a little better soon with your new meds for your stomach :P and that you don't have to wait too long to see the physio for your shoulder
Make the most of every opportunity you can to get some rest, won't you  That way, hopefully, you won't need to go back for the sickline
Take care Teeds
