Has this happened to anyone here with prostatitus?

I had an MRI done and 4 lesions were found. They all rated 4, but my urologist said that prostatitus can also cause this. I have suffered from chronic prostatitus for decades and I know it does all kinds of weird stuff. I also read it can mimic the look of cancer cells in an mri. Wondering if anyone's been through something similar.

Yes, the lesions could be due to the prostatitis. MRI guided biopsy can rule out the prostate cancer. What are the PI-RADS score and PSA number?

As I mentioned PI-RADS was 4. My PSA is only 4.8.

I plan to. Does it matter how many lesions you have?

It does not matter. MRI will guide biopsy in the lesions. What is your free PSA number, by the way?

I don't know. I only see the PSA number on my lab report. How would I find it?

Your doctor probably did not order it.
