It's jumping all over the place. This can't be anxiety😩, does anyone get this? It's my heart alll the time sometimes it stops then thumps really hard in my chest. Is this really in my head? Like people say. How can it be when I'm feeling this symptoms!!!! What if I don't make it alive till the end of this month bcos I die n go into cardic arrest no one understands what this feelings like into to be so scared that today's ur last how can I feel like this I don't want to feel like this .. Hi, I have this a lot and it has been bad recently, went to A&E convinced I was having a heart attack, it showed nothing just high blood pressure which is why you can hear your heart, went back to GP and had 2 ECG's which showed an occasional extra heartbeat, GP said what feels like a missed beat, the thump feeling is actually an extra one, just started for no reason but GP mentioned thyroid as I also feel like there is a lump in throat, many years ago I was also having palps while I was having an ECG but still nothing showed. I am menopausal and that also causes it. But one thing I do now with absolute certainty is the more you panic the worse you hear your heart. I could not sleep while this was all going on I could hear it banging away, I have stopped googling apart from this site and stayed calmer and I have really long periods when I forget I even have a heart. Try today to focus on something else, go for a long walk, sort the garden, shop anything that takes your mind of this and see your GP about possible thyroid problems.
