Hi,
My dad suffer spinal stenosis for years and was mis-diagnose as sciatica (which seem to be common), he was injected twice with steriods, on gabapentin, hydrocodine, etc; all which yield no result. His condition getting worse. His blood pressure was unstable (from 180 - 80 range), shaking, unable to walk more than 2 feet without cane or holding onto someone. There was so many more symptons.
After consultation, the specialist said he need surgery as quick as posible for better chance of gaining his abilities to walk and drive again. However, three days before the surgery, he was able to walk on his own for 30ft or so, he can walk to 60ft with cane before he have to sit down. He still on pain meds.
So, my question is: have anyone experience extreme pain from spinal stenosis (lumbar area) and able to recover fully without surgery?
He is trying to decide whether to go ahead with surgery or there may be miracle happening where he can recover to his old self without any surgery ever for this.
Would love to hear some stories, please share your experience.

I agree surgery should not be considered lightly it's not for everyone but like every thing you will hear good and bad stories . So don't benefit and it makes things worse others it's the best thing they did. Every individual is different and it's
Depends how bad things are.

Sent you a PM on the Globus RISE-L device that I'm having implanted on March 24th for my stenosis. No fusion. One day in the hospital...immediate pain relief...zero rehab. Do the research...
