Have been 10 mg for 8 weeks no improvement

i have been on 10mg of citalopram for anxiety with no improvement only horrible side effects such as very dry mouth and tongue, nausea tingling hands, numbness in feet feeling very hot especially at night, and keep waking 2 or 3 times in the night since i have started taking tablet. A couple of side effects have gone, but still have others Have upped it to 20mg which i have been on for 1week but have another side effect of tenderness inside lip and blisters. I have been on these tablets for 8 weeks all in all. do these side effects ever go away. can anyone advise.

    eight weeks is long enough to see if medication will work. Did you let your doctor know about how you feel on it? He or she could possibly make some adjustments or try something else.hope you feel better soon ❤
