I don't know much about PPI's or their possible side effects, but I do know about rhinitis. In my case it tends to lead to sinus infections, and even if they're not really bad, I'll still get what can only be described as a hot flash. Breathing issues an amp up anxiety which also leads to feeling really hot or really cold.

thanks for your comment. this rhinitis really puts pressure on my forehead and eye sockets. i wonder if this might be a sinusitis already. the smell of strong perfume gets me dizzy so as cigarette smoke. might as well see my ent again ..

Hi Alvin have a read up on silent reflux , It can effect so many parts of the body, for me PPI's made it worse, it can range from stomach bloating etc chest pain palpitations.a feeling that your nose and airways are blocked and painful.feeling sick and really bad sore throats. In my case I believe it was triggered by a weak les and anxiety overload so a vicious circle. I have now cut down my working hours, really careful on diet on anti anxiety tablets & spend as much time as I can in steam to relieve the pressure. Like you ANY strong smell triggers the throat and airways especially cigarettes and perfume. Lit us know what ENT say. I hope you find some help soon.

thanks joyclyn. i tried to cut back on ppis but the acid bounces back much stronger. am very strict on problem foods that my weight has dropped to 130 lbs with my 5 feet 10 inches body. cant seem to put it back to 145 lbs. i think this hiatal hernia really causes the strong reflux. have no heartburn but i can feel the acid shooting up to my throat and ears too. will check this out with my ent this tuesday. thanks again.
