Have been taking Amlodipine for 3 months. Noted no side effects except slight flushing initially, and blood pressure fell and has been consistently normal after about one month, despite family problems and moving house! As far as I can see it is a remarkable drug, and I am puzzled that others are having problems with it.

    thank god found someone with agood experiance on amlodipine!!!!my 5 year old son as been taking it for about a year now due to hbp the cause is yet to be diagnosed and i was getting a bit concerned after reading these comments.....thankyou its made me feel abit better because although he's been fine on it how would a five year old tell me about palputations or iluccinations :?

    Good news from me too, absolutely no side effects after a whole year on these, I also take elanapril and feel just great.

    I often wonder if people attribute minor temporary ailments unfairly to some drugs.

    Let those who have no side effects speak out more often.

    It's so sad when people don't believe others when they have a bad experience. Yes, those with good experiences should speak out more but, judging from the posts in this thread, there are many people who suffer on this particular medication.
