have i got an AAA

 Hi, Im really worried. For about 2 months now, Ive had like a \"pulse\" about two inces from my belly button, to the right. It happenss at least once a minute, and I ignored it at first, thinking it was a twitch or something muscular. However, I went onto google the symptom, and came up with AAA. I have a bad back too, proven with MRI scan, I have a few damaged discs, so obviously lot of the time, Im in massive pain from that, but 5 months ago, a pain right in my right groin and thigh started, and its sometimes awful. It radiates down the front of my thigh to my knee. My physio said its not connected to my back problems, but when I read up on AAA, it said you can also get pain in the groin, and leg. Im terrified, does anyone want to advise me pretty please.....

I suggest you get to a cardiovascular surgical doctor. They will take the proper tests to know what needs to be done.. I just had a operation last week to correct a blood vein that was about to burst,if I had waited much longer it would have been too late....mine was in my chest behind my heart... I was very lucky to have found it...

[b:3f568904ee] I was very lucky I knew I had a AAA and last year it started to leak consequently I was transfered to the nearest hospital where a 'on call' vascular surgeon did an emergency op on me I spent 3 weeks in ICU on life support and 1 week in HDU before I spent 1 month on a surgical ward I was discharged in October and it took me until December of that year before I could walk unaided and gradually did things for myself.

The whole experience took a long time to get over and I often wonder what it was like in ICU I did have chance to talk over it with someone at the hospital about my stay there etc but turned it down I wish I had not now. [/b:3f568904ee]
