Have I or haven't I?

3 years ago I was admitted to hospital after suffering headaches that were waking me up in the night, as they were so painful.

I spent 2 weeks in hospital on various pain killer including morphine, the left side of my face went numb and dropped, pains in my arms and legs, had a CT scan and MRI and eventually sent home being told it was a viral infection!

I suffer occasionally from vertigo, tinnitus, facial numbness, I have a constant painful right shoulder arm and hand (some loss of strength), and recently been told by the Dr I have a cyst at the back of my knee......I don't sleep very well as I am constantly waking in pain, take painkillers but they always wear off.

Over the past 3 years I have been passed from department to department and back again, the last appointment I was told by the orthopedic Dr that he thinks I have A problem with my neck!!!!

I go for a MRI on Monday then we probably have to wait another 4-6 weeks for an appointment with rheumatology.

What have I got (apart from a good sense of humor????? the only places I haven't been to in the hospital are Maternity (to old for that) and the Morgue (to young for that)

Sounds about right with regards to things. I have given up with the NHS as they are absolutely useless. Unless someone can prove to me that they take this ailment seriously and actually do something about it, I will continue to tell it how I find it.

The trouble with having a bean counter for a Prime Minister is that they want to keep all funding back in the coffers and increase taxes for no return to the people living in the country.

I have found that people who need minimal treatment will get the treatment as it costs the NHS next to nothing compared to a more serious case of the same ailment. What they don't understand is that long term it is going to cost the Government more due to longer spells off work and on benefits for those that are suffering greatly.

Sorry to go off tangent a little, but as you can probably tell, I have been treated like a piece of dirt by the local NHS here and I am in chronic pain without any offer of medication that might actually work.

A simple c spine x-ray would show if you have cervical spondylosis. I have received my positive results today, along with another finding that I have yet to quiz the Dr about. Ask your GP for a simple x-ray referal, see if they can manage that one for you.
