You mentioned you are "thinking" of going on Oristat, does that mean the Doctor has offered it to you because of PCOS?

I just started taking orlistat on Wednesday, I'm also taking metformin so fingers crossed that my weight goes down. I have pcos, and need to loose at least a stone for ivf.

I have PCOS and I have been trying to lose weight for fertility treatment. Between March and beginning of July I managed to lose 10lbs by going to the gym at least 3 times per week and living on vegetables. I had enough as with this much effort I should have reached my target.
I started orlistat this month and is the best decision I ever made. I have lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks! I still go to the gym and manage what I eat but I see the results of the hard work now.
I started at 15 1/2 stone and I need to get to 12 stone but I really think I can do this within the year now.
Please don't think this is a miracle cure, you have to be careful with what you eat as too much fat in one meal will cause you to have an upset tummy, but if you really want to lose weight and you have PCOS, it will really help.
Good Luck, it's a tough journey and you have to be motivated but it is possible.
