Have woken up a couple times confused and very anxious. Any thoughts on this?

So far this has only happened a couple of times but it's terrifying when it does happen. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night and I'll be half asleep. I'll be having some weird dream that wakes me up but then I feel very confused and anxious, like I don't know what's going on around me for a little while. My thoughts will be racing and it takes me quite a while to calm down. Last night for example, I woke up around 11:30 PM and I'm pretty sure I was dreaming about computer programming. I know it sounds weird but I'm currently in school for System Admin. When I woke up I had this thought in my head that I had to fix this program and I was really panicking over it. I tried to go back to sleep but kept waking myself up a few times because my mind was stuck on this and it just kept racing over and over again. I had to get up and move around the house for a while until I felt better and I eventually fell back asleep and the rest of my night was alright. This is just really weird for me being I've only experienced it twice now and it kind of freaks me out a bit. Has anyone ever felt like this before? If so, I would really like to hear your thoughts on it. I did eat quite a bit before going to bed just because I got home late and had to be up really early, around 5 AM, for work this morning. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, i'm not a doctor or sleep specialist. But what sounds like your talking about is a "confusion arousal". I had this happen to me like twice last year, and it seemed to happen when i was really stressed about something and was mildy sleep deprived. Hope this helps!
