Have you ever faced with high blood pressure

Hello everyone. My name is Agness, I'm 30 years old. I'm a mom of a beautiful baby girl, my daughter is 4 years now. Not long ago I've faced with high blood pressure, unfortunately. I was scared as I thought that it is too early for me to know what it is. But during the last 6 months, I'm trying to find the reason for such state of my health. I'm thinking about buying of blood pressure monitor. But which to choose? Maybe someone faced with it and could advise me the model?

Hello Agness, in the UK we use Omron monitors a lot & generally, you would buy one that you can afford. I have just bought an Omron M3. I forget the exact model but it is an upper arm monitor with a cuff that fits most arms, 22-42 cms
Good luck

Hello Agness,
?I use an Omron Series 3 Model BP710N which is available online for $24.99.
?Mine has worked well for me. Had it several years with no problems. It requires 4 AA Batteries. I don't recall if it originally came with Batteries.
?I would suggest you avoid the wrist cuffs. I also have one of those and even some of the MDs have started using them, HOWEVER, mine gives very erratic readings as I do have an Inverted T Wave which my Cardiologist says is of no concern but the Wrist Cuff cannot accurately Read my BP and Pulse.
Good Luck and I'm sure you will be fine.

Veewat,
You can probably get a better explanation by Googling "T Wave" than my Dissertation. (LOL!)
But, Basically, With an EKG - and other Medical Heart Tests -There are Terms associated with everything One's Heart does AND sometimes doesn't do. The pulses you may have seen if you've ever been connected to any type Heart Monitor - Both Up and Down - And the distance between those Pulses all have medical Terms. One of those Pulses is called a "T" Wave. In my case, it's exactly as it sounds. Mine goes the opposite way.
One can be born with it, develop it for unknown reasons and Can or Not be a Problem. Mine has been determined by a Cardiologist to NOT be an Issue. ( And if it were his, I wouldn't be concerned either. LOL!)
Seriously, I don't worry about it.
Several years ago I developed a "Long QT" Which was caused by being prescribed Zithromax (Z Pack). Today, but not then, this is a known possible side effect of Zithromax. My Long QT actually cleared up on its' own several Years later.
It also was not deemed a Problem EXCEPT when going under Anesthesia. The Anesthesiologist MUST know about a Long QT in determining which Anesthesia to use.
Apologize for lengthy explanation and also want to ensure you know I'm NOT a Physician! Take Care! Ernie

There is a TON of chatter about KardiaMobile... search it online. It's pricey, but it is supposed to be the best. What readings did you experience? Was the high reading(s) due to your pregnancies? At 30 you are young, and you need to know that there is a HUGE push in the medical field to lower the BP charts "pre-hypertension" do some research and stay calm as you sort through data. Good luck and ENJOY your daughter every day!!! Take care!
