Have you had hip pain following total knee replacement?

I had a TKR 6 months ago. I had a spinal anaesthetic and immediately the anaesthetic wore off I experienced a pain in my hip which travelled down my leg and into my back. It was very difficult to lie comfortably and I couldn't get any ease from it. The pain has persisted and become much worse. I am curious to know if anybody has suffered a similar prob, as according to the doctors they've never known anybody to suffer hip pain following TKR

Actually I am experiencing the same thing. I had a TKR a month ago and now my hip on the same side is starting to hurt. I cant lie on that side in bed and it also hurts to squat down. I did wonder if I was doing the exercises too rigourously but cant see it would cause hip pain. I do wonder if it is my body realigning itself as my knee was badly out of joint. Nobody tells you that it takes 6 months to a year to get over this brutal operation and am regretting having it done at this moment. I will do some research and find out more about this if I can and will get back to you.
