Have you heard of Leptospirosis? It is a bacterial disease of humans and animals, that is transmitted through contaminated water and urines of infected animals. It is a bacterial infection caused by Leptospira bacteria. If you come in contact with the urine, blood and tissue of animals which are affected by the bacteria, then there is a chance to be a Leptospirosis patient. The Leptospira spp. Bacteria can affect raccoons, skunks, squirrels. Some kind of creatures in our locality can be a source of this disease. If these creatures are having contact with our house and family members, it can be a reason for many damages and diseases. So these animals should be managed properly. As we all know, prevention is better than cure. If you are facing any problems with wild animals or pests, use animal removal services available in your area. There are raccoons in my locality and they attack our pets, garden and yards. A child was attacked by a racoon and injuired badly. We made use of wildlife removal services in Toronto ( https://www.hawkeye.ca/pest-wildlife-animals ) . Most of the human beings are animals lovers. But we should be aware of the health issues caused by animals. If you are an animal lover, then you should arrange a proper shelter for them. So that they won't be problem creators. Rabies, a fatal neurologic disease in animals and humans are caused by viruses. Pest animals like raccoons, skunks are the potential source of rabies. Campylobacter, Leptospira and Salmonella are other infections caused by pest animals. I have read some articles about child attacks by pest/wild animals. To avoid these attacks, we should apply some ethical methods. Is there any other solution?

Leptospirosis is an infectious disease of humans and animals that is caused by pathogenic spirochetes of the genus Leptospira. Antibiotic therapy in the treatment of mild leptospirosis is typically unnecessary, since it is often self-limited, and most cases resolve without medical attention.
