having a rough time !

This is so frustrating. I guess i don't understand how i can all of a sudden develop so many new symptoms! Diagnosed Tuesday, and then the pain moved from skin soreness, and migraine, then i wake up today and most of the painful bruising feels better, and was replaced with horrible muscle cramping in my upper legs ( BACKSIDE or legs ) from the top, down my knees, all the backside of my legs, along with popping joints and stiffness.. Is this what i have to learn to deal with everyday? Has anyone tried yoga to help with the muscle pain/ stiffness? Sorry to complain, just a rough day.

Hi Emlily, sorry that you are having such a rough time but symptoms of fibro can change all the time and can be all that you experience. You may find that these will ease and be replaced by something else from one day to the next. I have had muscle cramps, weakness, muscle. Vibrations and shaking as well as skim sensations, intense muscle pain, and migraines etc.

Morning Emily;  that is one of the big issues with Fibro....I never know what/where I am going to have pain either....and the fact that it "pops" sonewhere new one day, doesn't mean it's going to be gone the next (I have found that each New spot will last about 3 months or so)...and I know how you are feeling, as my L) arm was ok yesterday morning, but slowly developed last pm , and boy....it's  b....sore today...and so is my neck/jaw/back/fingers have a bad headache...yep the list goes on.   I was advised by my rhuemy to do Pilates (not yoga)...Pilates is gentler on our joints, apparently....and when we get up in the morning, we are supposed to try and do some slight "rocking", to loosen up the joints/muscles....but for me, there are mornings that I just can't even get that going (like this morning....am typing now to take my mind off me and think of someone else...)  and we all know re rough days, so don't ever feel you have to say sorry......Bron

Thank you, i will look into Pilates as well... You are all so understanding and encouraging. I still have not told my family, they are all pretty tired of my medical problems and think this is all dramatized, i pray they never feel what we do. It is nice however, to finally have an actual diagnosis for my ailments, and that IM not really crazy ! Trying to be positive, because i kid know the other option, would not help anyone.

Unfortunately, fibro pains come and go and some pains are severe and some are bearable. I did yoga for a year and thoroughly enjoyed it, as it was my ME time away from the husband and the kids. But I found yoga relaxing, by the time I used to get home to my husband and two sons, my relaxed mind and body soon got stressed. It's like hell breaks loose as soon as you walk through the door.  This was many years ago.  I am now considering going back to it hopefully soon.

Please find some positive and calmness and try not to get stressed as this is not good for fibro. One day at a time. Also everyday is a new day, hope tomorrow will be a better day for you.

    Gentle hugs wink x

Me again emily;  it could actually be the stressors of your present life that have caused your Fibro....as many docs say "it is all emotional/in your head", they are not correct re it being all in our heads; but there is too much evidence showing (and from my personal journey), that major stressors in our lives, with no let up/time for grieving, can be what sets our bodies off....I do believe that when we have been dealt too much stress, Fibro is our body's way of saying "hey, pull up"...you are over-doing it.  I know it doesn't help us, as some of us can't just "pull up' or walk away...and we are born with our personality traits...but as you say....there will be that rainbow...look after yourself until you see it....Bron

Thank you. It's been quite a traumatic two years, trying to stay positive and keep faith, trying to not constantly complain about the pain is difficult, but IM tired of feeling so down, going to try to be more proactive in my life! I believe god is good, and life is truly beautiful... Looking into meditation, yoga, and Thai chi ( maybe spelled that wrong ) i think stretching might really help . Thank you all for your kind words !
