Hi Jayne I was the same for 3 years I was layed-up, started on naproxan then went through the full range in that time, nothing touched me until my 3rd biologic Retuximab which finally worked in December so the only thing I can say is be patient something will work for you at some stage you just have to go through everything till you find one but when you do it will be worth it.

Hi Jayne.  I too am trying for a baby and have RA.  Unfortunately, I have been trying for over a year but nothing has happened.  I should be taking Methatrexate but due to trying to concieve, I am not allowed to take it.  The only things I have been advised by my Rheumatologist that I can take is Paracetamol, Hydroxychloriquine and Sulphazalazine.  Hydroychloriquine (Not sure how its spelt!) did nothing for me and I had a severe reaction to Sulphazalazine so can't take that.  I am in agony some days and its really getting me down.  Hubby and I have arguments for me to just go onto medication because he can see the pain i'm in and its really tempting sometimes and just give up the baby idea. I am 36 now so it's a case of now or never.  What medication have you been given so far?
