having anxiety as I write this

I'm having a bit of anxiety  right now. Thinking I have a heart problem. Shortness of breath. My arms are tingling. Body feels weird. Having these weird little pains or cramps in arm. I'm scared.

Went to see an asthma specialist cause I was told by my primary doctor I had asthma in June cause I was short of breath. They gave me an inhaler. Never worked . So I went to see an asthma specialist and they said I didn't have asthma. He listen to my heart for a long time cause he said he heard something. He heard only once. He said if shortness of breath keeps happening or gets worse let him know and he would refer me to a heart specialist. Now I'm always worried something is wrong with my heart. I've been having minor chest pains/cramps on left side lately.  I'm so freaked  out now.

Try to stay calm otherwise you will increase your stress levels.

Make an appointment at your Drs and explain what you have just said and ask to be referred to the heart specialist to be certain on what is going on, it may be just a simple blip one off he heard, so keep calm.

Its not easy as you have anxiety also, but the forum is here to support you and help.

Thanks so much for the reply.  I called right after I wrote and asked for some referrals. Even if there is nothing wrong it would put my mind at ease.

This forum is awesome!  There is always sometime there when you need it! I love all of you!

Dont worry and just go to a doc and get yourself checked for  any heart problems. After a test or two you'll b clear about your health. If everything is fine you can follow posts on health anxiety of heart on this forum which works wonders. I did the same and got very encouraging results.

Hi, I have been suffering from this for a while now. The first time it happened to me I rushed myself to a hospital because I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack. If you had a heart problem you would not be sitting there thinking about it. You need to rationalise everything you think during this attack.

Best thing that helped me was concentrating on my breathing and counting my pulse.

See your doctor and ask them to do an ECG to put your mind at ease. At least you know then there's nothing wrong and that may help.

    I hope this helps you.
