I have been through one operation which has taken me a long time to recover from so I am not pleased that I have to go through the anterior repair but the other options of pessary did not appeal either so hopefully the operation will be a success and I can start to feel more normal again! Other women's experience of the anterior repair will be useful!

The surgeon expects that there will be about a two month waiting list which I suppose will give me a chance to prepare for it

      Hi Angela

I had my anterior done in January which was painfree.. I didnt even have any discomfort at all.

It was my second one in 2 years as the first one failed after a couple of weeks.

I just pray this one holds up as i was extremely careful on both recovery.

Yiu will need to rest for up to 6 wks.x

Oh that is very reassuring thank you. The surgeon told me that women had said it was not as painful as the posterior repair so I didn't really believe him but sounds good. I feel a bit less stressed out now. I have time to plan on my recovery as i need someone to look after my horse and train my dog to go for his walks with someone different -not to mention eight year old grandson who lives with me! I hope you continue to do well!

On a personal note -did the horrible pink bulge disappear after the op? At the moment I feel like a freak!
